Names like Geronimo and Mercedes are weird until you realise they were given names in the first place.

Couple of years ago in a doctors waiting room, a woman of benefits with 3 very ugly looking brats of similar ilk, large in tracksuit pants with Ciggs and belly hanging out, the Doc comes out and Calls the name Madonna Spratt, woman and 1 sprog get up and mother turns to the other 2 and says “Britney and Beyoncé don’t go anywhere”
Well it made me chuckle.

My sister works in a natal unit so hears an endless stream of ill judged names. latest one she told me was a couple with the surname Lingus called their unfortunate daughter Connie.

My sister's name is Marlene, bless her.
A guy I worked with called his son Indiana, after the film character.
Leaving the best until last, I've also worked with a guy called Bjay !!!

American neighbours of ours after months of excitement of becoming Grandparents turned up on the door with a Bottle of champers to tell us the good news of their new Grandson being born all healthy until new''Grandpa''had to tell us the parents were going to call him GERONIMO.............That kid is going to get some abuse when he gets older.Why do Parents do this ?
